چکیده

In this paper, the geometrical design of a (2-RRU)-URR (where R and U stand for revolute universal joints, respectively) parallel mechanism was demonstrated thumb rehabilitation therapy. This paper consists two parts: procedure development device user experiment with prototype. Because hand generally has limited working area, attachment parts placement actuators requires careful consideration various factors. Along kinematic requirements device, interaction between fingers must be considered. The proposed three placed in attachment. When is attached to hand, there possibility collisions mechanism. Two candidates were devised while considering area need avoid collisions. Due dependency workspace on actuators, comparison candidate designs target carried out. determined through use trajectory measurement data. A prototype manufactured using 3D printed plastic aluminum materials. To confirm practical performance prototype, experiments conducted which data controlled each person done. Motion directions, specifically, adduction–abduction flexion–extension performed. results showed that closely matched trajectory. Finally, experimental are discussed.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Design, Evaluation and Prototyping of a New Robotic Mechanism for Ultrasound Imaging

This paper presents a new robotic mechanism for ultrasound imaging. The device is placed on a patient's body by an operator, and an ultrasound expert controls the motions of the device to obtain ultrasound images. The paper focuses on the robotic mechanism that performs ultrasound imaging. The design of the mechanism is based on two approaches to produce center of motion for an ultrasound probe...

Design and Virtual Prototyping of Rehabilitation Aids

This paper presents the methodology for user-customized design of a class of one-of-a-kind assistive devices. This class consists of passive, articulated mechanical manipulation aids which are physically coupled to the user and require customization to the user to achieve the desired performance. Data acquired from the user is used to create a virtual model of the user. The designed product is ...
